Manuel Pailós

Manuel Pailós - (1914 –2004)

Uruguayan artist, born in Galicia. He was a man with an obstinate low profile, quiet and modest, friendly and unobtrusive; he would rather have his artwork speak for himself. He worked hard, with remarkable continuity and this allowed him, all through the most outstanding period in his career, to hold individual exhibitions every single year, a unique example of perseverance and dedication.

His works are part of the heritage of Uruguayan, Argentine and Spanish museums and are also part of large individual collections  all over the world, as befits an artist achieving such level of production.
