New Temporary Exhibition

On Saturday, the 5th of September  the Ralli Museum of Marbella will open an exhibition dedicated to the Peruvian artist, Carlos Revilla. The sample boasts eight paintings that reveal his surrealist and magical-realist side.
A figurative artist who has been very influenced by major European artists such as Durero, Velázquez or El Bosco, as well as their contemporaries, Marcel Douchamp or Salvador Dalí.

His extensive and brilliant artistic career has taken him to different countries without losing his Peruvian origins, the inspiration of which can be seen in is work. He formed part of the surrealist group, both in Europe and Latin America, and he then moved on towards Magical Realism, with which he reached a higher freedom in his work. With a strong commitment to the problems of current society, he always reflected these concerns and obsessions in a sarcastic, heart-breaking and seductive manner in his works, inviting the spectator to a world that is halfway between a dream and reality.
