The Ralli Museum of Punta del Este, which opened its doors on 8th January 1988, holds the distinction of being the inaugural location within the Ralli Museums international network. Its enduring success and distinctive philosophy served as the foundation for the global expansion of the Foundation.
Strategically situated at the heart of the exclusive Beverly Hills neighbourhood, this museum is an architectural gem specifically designed to house art, encompassing over 6,000 square metres of exhibition halls and verdant outdoor spaces. The building seamlessly fuses contemporary architecture with the lush natural beauty of its surrounding parkland.
This location is home to one of the world's most significant collections of contemporary Latin American art, with a particular focus on Surrealism. Visitors can appreciate pivotal works by globally renowned artists such as Salvador Dalí, Fernando Botero, Amedeo Modigliani, John Robinson, among others.
Operating on the belief that "Pleasure is the purpose of art," the museum maintains a principle of free, unrestricted, and universal admission. We encourage every visitor to curate their own unique experience; consequently, we do not offer guided tours. Guests are invited to contemplate the artworks, wander through the galleries, and enjoy the three thematic external patios—the Andalusian Patio, the Garden Patio, and the Sculpture Patio—in complete peace and at their own leisure.
A visit to the Ralli Museum Punta del Este is an essential stop for anyone seeking a meaningful cultural experience in Uruguay.
